Sharing Our Blessings: A Thanksgiving Blog Hop

Sharing My Blessings:
As I finish up 2023 and look back on the year we’ve had, I have so much to be thankful for. Here are just a few things I wanted to share with you:
1. Everyone in my family is healthy.
There have been years where loved ones (or my own kids) have been sick and in the hospital over the holidays. One year we spent Thanksgiving, Christmas AND Valentine’s Day in the hospital (preemie baby). So to have everyone home and healthy is not something that I take for granted.
If you have a family member or loved one sick or in the hospital this holiday season, I know how difficult it is. You are in my prayers!
2. Our church is growing.
A little over a year ago we picked up and moved our family to start a brand new church. The work is HARD, and some days are discouraging, but when I look back over the year, I see growth. Not always in numbers, but always growth and moving forward. And I’m so thankful we get to be a part of what God is doing.
3. We are able to homeschool our kids.
I realize this is not an option for everyone (or might not be the right choice for everyone), but for us (at least right now), it’s the right fit. I’m thankful for the flexibility, and I’m thankful for the chance to spend my days learning alongside my kids. As difficult & trying as some days are, the joy that comes from seeing their light bulb moments and allowing them to just be themselves is absolutely worth it.
We have truly been blessed this year and I want to share that with you!
