Are you looking for fun and easy ways to prepare your preschooler for Kindergarten math? Or perhaps your Kindergartner needs extra practice. This resource bundle would be perfect!
This fun, hands-on math pack includes tons of different activities to explore with some of the youngest math learners, using one of my favorite math manipulatives!
Topics covered include:
- Sorting and counting
- Comparing quantities
- Graphing data in a bar graph and circle graph
- Addition and subtraction
- Making and comparing shapes
- Decomposing numbers
How to use this Skittles Math Bundle:
This interactive lesson bundle is intended to supplement any Kindergarten math curriculum, but many of the activities would also be appropriate for first grade as well.
These can also be used as a fun way to introduce your preschooler to early math concepts to prepare them for Kindergarten. Just be mindful of where they are developmentally, and don’t try to push them to do things or solve problems they aren’t ready for yet. 🙂
Each of the activities are meant to encourage playing with numbers and exploring in a hands-on way. They are also meant to foster meaningful math talks. There doesn’t need to be much formal writing of math facts, especially if your kids are younger.
This download includes color and black and white versions of all the activities, except for the pattern cards (obviously they need to be in color so kids can complete the pattern).
