Kindergarten-2nd Grade:

This post includes a TON of fun, winter-themed math freebies. I haven’t looked at all of them, but it looks like they’re perfect for Kindergarten and First Grade.

And these hot cocoa ten frame pages are a fun and cute way to work on number recognition with numbers up to 20.

3rd-5th Grade:

This fun set of multiplication games from The Curriculum Corner comes with 12 different versions for lots of fun practice this winter!

And this multiplication game is perfect for any Pokemon fans out there!

Grab this fun freebie for working on time and elapsed time from Learning with Mrs. Kirk. This post also includes some fun tips for teaching time to 3rd and 4th graders.

And I love this quilt squares fraction activity from Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational.

6th Grade+:

Understanding the relationship between a situation, an equation and it’s graph is one of the most important concepts in Algebra. So I love this fun foldable introduction from Mrs. E Teaches Math. (You’ll need to print it on legal size paper).

And here’s a simple, no prep daily math review for 6th grade. Includes 2 weeks worth of review pages.

Kindergarten-2nd Grade:

I love these “make ten” snowflake clip cards from Playdough to Plato! This is such an important skill, and this activity combines a visual with hands on practice.

And I love these cute ornament coloring games to practice addition facts. Students solve for the missing addend and color their response. (Find the link to the freebie at the bottom of the post).

And if you’re working on subtraction of large numbers, this snowman freebie is the cutest! Kids solve and sort based on whether or not they regroup. (Scroll to the very end of the post to find the link to the freebie)

3rd-5th Grade:

Want a fun way for all your Minecraft fans to practice their multiplication facts? Grab this adorable free game from Royal Baloo!

Or practice place value with large numbers with this fun freebie from Math Coach’s Corner.

6th Grade+:

Explore all kinds of math such as ratios, volume and surface area based on the giant nutcrackers in Boston to celebrate the Boston ballet.

Working on angle theorems in geometry? You may like this handy visual. Just click on the different angles to learn more.

Kindergarten-2nd Grade:

I LOVE this adorable Turkey math facts game from This Reading Mama! There are two different levels to work on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

(And if you want a more open ended “build a turkey” math challenge, try this)

I also love these free “magic square” addition puzzles. This is a fun and unique way to work on basic facts. I’m definitely going to grab these for my kids!

And if you’re looking for some handy math tools to help your kiddos solve problems, I love this helpful resource. Laminate to use over and over.

3rd-5th Grade:

Need some practice with rounding? This cute maze lets kids practice rounding to the nearest ten in order to get through the maze.

This adorable barnyard themed freebie uses Cuisinaire Rods to explore and play with fractions and equivalent fractions. It includes 2 different activities for hands on fun!

And if you’re interested in using Google Drive in your math lessons, you may like this free set of equivalent fractions practice. The slides are interactive, allowing students to manipulate fractions on a number line and using a model.

If you’d like a fun measurement activity, grab this free set of Thanksgiving matching cards. This is a great way to help kids recognize equivalent measurements.

Finally, if you’re looking for help for your kids solving multi-step word problems, grab a helpful freebie from Learning with Mrs. Kirk. It uses the same problem with 3 different questions to help kids read carefully and make sure they understand what the question is asking.

6th Grade+:

I love this fun combination of algebra, geometry and golf! Practice evaluating expressions with this cute printable game.

And if you have baseball fans, spend some time exploring the math related to the Cubs first World Series win since 1908!

Finally, have you ever thought to incorporate your students’ various intelligences into your math instruction? If you’re interested in learning more, start with this free survey to discover your students intelligences and provide insight into how you can better help them succeed.

Looking for some quick extra practice? Check out Dad’s Worksheets. This site is literally FILLED with simple math practice worksheets. Includes math for elementary through high school.

Got a dinosaur loving kiddo? Grab these cute addition and subtraction mats from 3Dinosaurs!

And I love this cute pirate-themed place value game. This is a great way to deepen an understanding of place value, as well as practice those mental math skills.

3rd-5th Grade:

And if you have older kids who love dinosaurs, 3 Dinosaurs also has some cute multiplication clip cards! This is a super simple way to practice facts.

Here’s another fun way to practice those multiplication facts: by playing the squares game.

6th Grade+:

Working on angles formed by a transversal? This quick freebie is an easy way to look at examples and non-examples.

Looking for a new way to practice important skills? Check out this huge list of math games for middle school. This includes apps, board games, cards games, dice games, printable games and more.

Download some Fall math word problems from Corkboard Connections. This freebie includes 2 pages of 2 different levels. I would say the first page is appropriate for 2nd-3rd, while the second page is for 4th-5th.

And check out this cute and low prep set of “I know my subtraction facts” from Royal Baloo. This is such a simple way to practice facts from 10-20.

3rd-5th Grade:

I love this cute set of number riddles to use with a hundreds chart from Primary Inspiration! These are designed for third grade, but would be great with 4th or 5th grade too.

If your kiddos need extra practice with fractions, but you’re looking for something other than a worksheet, you may like this list of the best fraction apps. Most cost $1.99-$2.99, but a few have a free version you can try.

6th Grade+:

Teach Algebra 2? This set of homework pages is such a great resource from One Stop Teacher Shop. Low prep-all the work is done for you! This includes 2 weeks of ready to go homework or assessments.

I love this post on using football to introduce and teach Pythagorean Theorem. It includes a great video that will be more engaging for students than simply drawing a triangle on the board! (There are also free teaching materials to go along with it if you subscribe by email).

Want another fun way to teach Pythagorean theorem? Try proving it with LEGO bricks!

I love this simple review of math facts from Smiling and Shining in Second Grade! These pages are cute, and cover a variety of math skills. I’ve already printed them for my daughter. There are also a lot of cute back to school freebies in this post, which I realize is a little late at this point, but maybe save it for next year?

And if you’re looking for handy counting practice, be sure to grab this HUGE freebie from This Reading Mama! Includes a variety of counting cards which can be used for mental math or along with a hundreds chart. It includes counting on, counting back, skip counting and more.

3rd-5th Grade:

Grab this cute fractions sort over at Educents! This would make a great math center activity to help kids better understand fractions and simplifying fractions.

And if you’re working on decimals and fractions, you may like this set of pumpkin pie puzzles. (Please note: I don’t know how long this will be available for free, so please double check the price before you download)

Or if you want a fun way to practice multiplication, you may like these candy corn puzzles. Includes all facts from 1-9. (Please note: you must enter a price of “0” and then add to cart and checkout to get your free puzzles).

6th Grade+:

Halloween is coming and with it, an overload of candy! I love this lesson from Yummy Math comparing the volume of various candy containers. Help your kids prepare for a huge candy haul!

Looking for a different way to introduce a topic to your students? Check out the Mashup Math YouTube channel.

They post new videos each week, covering all sorts of math concepts. This would be a great way to introduce students to a new concept, or use for a homework assignment. You could then discuss and practice problems in class after students have watched the video at home.

And I LOVE this pumpkin themed interactive number line from Royal Baloo! This is such a great tool for helping kids work on addition facts.

3rd-5th Grade:

Go download this fun set of place value games while they’re still free! There are 4 different downloads, providing lots of place value practice. NOTE: These are only free until October 9th, 2016.

This post includes some simple, low-prep games for practicing multiplication and division facts.

And here’s a fun, “I have, who has…” game to work on place value and rounding.

6th Grade+:

Looking for a fun challenge this October? This set of equations is a great way to get kids using their algebra skills without even realizing it! It’s also a great introduction to systems of equations for older kids. This set includes basic puzzles, and a more challenging set.

And if you have geometry students working on different types of angles (alternate interior, alternate exterior, etc.) this coloring freebie is great practice! Even high school students like to color, right?

How cute is this Johnny Appleseed Subtraction game? I’ve already grabbed a copy for my son who’s working on subtraction within 10 right now! (Note: click the “Fall Into Savings” graphic to get the freebie).

And I love this simple, low prep board game for working on shapes! The download includes 3 different game boards.

This would be fun to play along with a shape scavenger hunt!

3rd-5th Grade:

I love this great visual model to help kids understand rounding! This is a concept that seems to be really difficult for third graders to grasp. Be sure to grab this freebie if you’re looking for a helpful way to show and explain to your kids!

(And if you’re looking for more rounding practice, try this free printable game.)

I also love this cute set of “brain busters” from Blair Turner. Seriously, anything she creates is fantastic and this set of logic puzzles is no exception! (Please note, these are Halloween themed).

And if you’re looking for fraction help, you might like this cute flip book! Another great visual to help kids “see” fractions and equivalent fractions.

6th Grade+:

If you’re looking for a fun and engaging game to help your kids review, maybe you should try “trashketball!” This looks so fun (and includes some printable problems for special right triangles if you don’t want to make your own), and makes me wish I was still in the classroom. Although I suppose I could play with my kiddos–they would love it for sure!

And finally, if you haven’t seen, YouCubed has put together another week of iMath (inspirational math) resources! They look fantastic and I’m planning a week for my kids and I to work through it soon. You will have to set up an account and log in to get the materials, but once you do there are pdf downloads organized by grade (k-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12).

6th Grade+:

There are lots of great resources and lessons available on this site. This page, for example, includes a couple of 8th grade lessons. If you teach 8th grade or above, take some time to scroll through the lessons, you may find just what you’re looking for!

And I love this lesson about Olive Garden’s never ending pasta deal. So many great questions for kids to consider!
